North Wellington FC is incredibly proud of our thriving girls and women’s football pathways. This winter, our Under 17 Girls team is preparing for a major milestone, travelling to Auckland in July to test their skills, develop their game, and build important team connections on a national stage.
To help get the squad there, the team is hosting a special movie fundraiser night at the historic Penthouse Cinema in Brooklyn.
We are inviting our club members, families, and local football community to come along for a fantastic evening out that directly supports the development of youth women’s sport in our community.
Date: Sunday 14 June 2026
Time: 5:00 PM
Location: Penthouse Cinema, 82 Ohiro Road, Brooklyn, Wellington
Tickets: $25 per person
The featured film for the night is the inspiring New Zealand documentary, No Tears on the Field.
Set right here in the heartland of New Zealand, the film follows teams of aspiring female athletes as they work to shatter glass ceilings both on and off the sports field to achieve their dreams. It is a powerful, highly relevant story that resonates deeply with what our own young players strive for every time they lace up their boots.
Every ticket purchased directly contributes to the team’s travel and tournament costs. Your $25 ticket includes:
Entry to the private screening of No Tears on the Field
Automatic entry into our evening spot prize draws
A traditional lolly bag to enjoy during the film
On the night, we will also be running a raffle for a premium gourmet hamper. A huge thank you goes out to our friends at Arc Advisory, who have kindly donated this fantastic prize package to help maximize our fundraising efforts.
With a set number of seats available at the Penthouse Cinema, tickets are strictly limited and must be booked in advance. This is the perfect way to round out your weekend with family and friends while backing a great group of local athletes.

Thank you for your ongoing support of North Wellington FC and our youth development pathways. We look forward to seeing you at the cinema on 14 June.
