Expressions of Interest – 2026 NZ Junior Girls National Teams Staff (U15 & U17)

Kia Ora NZ American Football Members,

NZAFF is pleased to confirm that U15, U17, and U20 Junior Girls divisions will be included at the 2026 Club National Championships. As part of this wider growth in the junior wāhine space, NZAFF is now beginning the process of establishing New Zealand Junior Girls National Teams for 2026.

At this stage, NZAFF is seeking Expressions of Interest for key volunteer staff roles in the U15 and U17 NZ Junior Girls National Teams.

The planning is underway for the Junior Girls to join the Junior Boys at an international event in 2026 with the announcement to be made prior to the end of the year.

U15 NZ Junior Girls National Team

• Head Coach
• Assistant Coach
• Team Manager

U17 NZ Junior Girls National Team

• Head Coach
• Assistant Coach
•  Team Manager

These are volunteer national programme roles, suited to individuals with coaching experience, strong leadership capability, and a passion for developing young wāhine in a safe, athlete-centred, and high-performance-focused environment.

Note on U20 Junior Girls

While U20 Girls will feature as a competition grade at the 2026 Club Nationals, there is currently no international programme for this age group.Athletes 18+ remain eligible for consideration for the New Zealand National Women’s Programme.

EOI Timeline

●     Open: 11 December 2025

●     Close: 19 December 2025

This EOI process will help NZAFF determine staffing capacity and finalise the structure of the 2026 Junior Girls National Programme.
