Congratulations to the athletes and coaches selected to take part in the New Zealand vs Australia Flag Football Showcase at the @NFLAUNZ Kickoff Festival in Melbourne on Friday, 11 September 2026.

This invitation-only event will feature a series of Flag Football demonstration games against Australia, played under a modified rule set designed for the venue and showcase environment.

While this is not an official international fixture or a formally selected New Zealand National Team, it remains a prestigious opportunity for everyone invited to participate. The showcase teams were assembled by New Zealand National Team coaches based on player availability and the requirements of the format.

Each athlete brings their own talent, experience and energy to this opportunity. Together, they will showcase the quality of our athletes, the excitement of the game and the continued growth of Flag Football across Oceania.

Congratulations to everyone involved, and thank you to the organising committee for the invitation and opportunity to be part of this exciting event.
