Otago Boys' traditionally have over 30 teams playing in the Secondary Schools competition across social and competitive grades. All teams play Term 2 and 3.
Social Basketball Information
The boys make up their own teams and submit the team name and team members to Darcy Knox our Director of Basketball.
Teams need a minimum of 8 players or left over students will be added to teams.
Transport:
Transport to and from games is parental responsibility.
Games:
Competitive Juniors play on Friday night & Competitive Seniors play basketball on Friday nights and in the Saturday Club Competition.
Social Basketball is played on a Friday night at OBHS school gym for Seniors & Juniors.
Practices:
Coaches availability at lunchtime or afterschool in the school gym (for competitive only).
Uniforms:
It is compulsary to play in a OBHS basketball singlet and OBHS PE shorts. Singlets and shorts can be purchased from Otago Sports Depot.
Equipment:
Mouthguards are compulsory.
Competition Dates for Competitive Basketball: Friday 3rd May until Friday 23rd August 2024.
