Touch Rugby is coming back in Term 1 - EARLY COMPETITION START TIME so get your registrations in.

Season: Term 1 2024
Dates:  Wednesday 14th February 2024 and runs for six weeks (20th March)
Venue: The games are played at Awaikarangi Park From 4pm and are 30 min rotations.
Grades: Year 1/2, Year 3/4, Year 5/6 (5-aside).  
Cost: $35 per player

Fees are required to be paid prior to secure a place in the team.  Part payment plans are available if fully paid before Friday 1st March - however these need to be discussed with Tania prior.  Online payments to: 12 3478 0008697 01  OCS Sports ref Childs Name and Sport

If your child is able to play, or you are interested in being a team manager or coach, please complete the registration form below.

You will need to compete a new registration form for each child.

Wednesday 14th February 2024 – Upper Hutt Junior Touch Starts!

TOUCHJAM Festival

A true celebration of kids in sport, the Junior Touch JAM Festival will bring together school teams from across the country to experience a touch competition like no other.

Bouncy castles, face painters, slip’n’slides, round robin touch games where participation and GREAT times are the winners on the day.

Delivered by the whanau, quality focused team at Total Touch Wellington, the Junior Touch JAM Festival is now a 1-day Tournament held on the 18th November at Hutt Park in Lower Hutt.

Saturday 18th November
10am - 4pm
*Year 1/2's start 1.30pm - 3.30pm

If you want your kids to experience the fun, camaraderie, and support of a sports tournament with a fun, positive, participation focus, this is the event for you.  FOOD TRUCKS and COFFEE CARTS on site.

Oxford is looking to enter teams in this Festival however teams will be managed by Parents.  School staff will not be supervising students at the event.  Parents are expected to register, pay and make arrangements for their children and will need to transport and supervise their children at this festival. 

School teams available are:  

  • Year 1/2 - MixedYear
  • 3/4 - Mixed, Boys, Girls
  • Year 5/6 - Mixed, Boys, Girls

Entry Fees: 
Year 3-6 $45 per student (Minimum a team of 6)
Year 1-2 $25 per student (Minimum a team of 6)

Payment of team entry will be advised once teams are confirmed.

Touch Rugby is back in Term 4.  The competition starts on Wednesday 25th October and runs for six weeks (29th Nov).

Season: Term 4 2023
Dates:  Wednesdays - 26th October - runs for six weeks
(29th November)
Venue: The games are played at Awaikarangi Park From 4pm and are 30 min rotations.
Grade: Year 1/2, Year 3/4, Year 5/6 (5-aside).  

Cost: $35 per player

Grades are Year 1/2, Year 3/4, Year 5/6 (5-aside).  The games are played at Awakairangi Park From 4pm and are 30 min rotations.

However, we need parental support to help us with this opportunity. We need at least one parent manager per team please, to be responsible for the team, team shirts and on the day to sub the players on and off. Without this help we are unable to enter teams in the competition.  Ideally a Coach for each team as well.  Year 1/2 ages really need someone as a coach on the field during games if possible.  You DO NOT need to be able to Coach to be a Manager!


The cost to participate in this Touch Rugby competition is $35 per person and paid directly to the school either online via (details on registration form) or cash to the Silver Sports Letterbox outside Room 10 (don't forget to include your students name if you choose this option so I can track payments).   

 Eftpos Payments can now be taken by Tania in her office!

BBQ Duty - each team will be allocated a day/time to be responsible for the school fundraiser BBQ onsite over the 5 wks prior to finals.
