Papakura Swimming Club

Fee Structure:

Fee Structure

Our Club has the following fee structure. All fees are compulsory and detailed below:

  1. Annual Club Membership Fee
  2. Annual SNZ (Swimming NZ) Membership Fee
  3. Massey Park Pool monthly swimming training fees
  4. Away Competition Coaches Fee (for events away from Massey Park)

1. Club Membership Fee
A compulsory annual fee to belong to the Club as follows:

  • One Swimmer                                  $90.00
  • Two or more Family Swimmers    $150.00

This can be done online via the club website upon submitting the online membership form. Refer to the guide on how to do this or look under under the "Do It Online" section.

Club membership fees are payable at the time of joining and renew on 1 October each year. The above fees are reduced by 50% if joining the club between 1st June and 31 August. If joining the club in September, your membership will carry over to the new season e.g. September to September (i.e 13 months). The annual membership fee is paid directly to the swimming club.

NOTE: all online financial transactions through our club website include a 5% commission charged by our website provider. For example: membership fee $90 + 5% = $94.50 charged to your card.

2. Swimming NZ Membership Fee
In addition to our Club membership fee, this compulsory annual fee is required to be paid directly to Swimming NZ (the National swimming body). The Swimming NZ fee includes the Counties fee.

  • Non-competitive swimmers = $15.55 (current) and $20 effective 1 July 2020
  • Competitive swimmers  = $97.50 (current)

Non-competitive (or Club) swimmers only applies to the Junior 2 day swimming squad. The Non-competitive (Club) fee does however allow swimmers to compete in our local Pukekohe clubnights. All other swimming squads are required to be Competitive swimmers.

Upgrading from Non-competitive to Competitive during the season means paying the difference between the two fees.

The SNZ annual fee covers the period 1 July - 30 June (not from the date of joining)

For new members, soon after submitting your Club membership registration form, our club Recorder will send you an email with your SNZ login and (temporary) password so you can complete this action online yourself. Refer to our guide on how to do this or look up under the "Do It Online" section.

3. Monthly Training Fees
In addition to the annual Club membership fee and annual SNZ membership fee, a regular monthly direct debit must be paid to cover weekly swimming training sessions. The fee (listed below) will depend on which squad the swimmer trains in. Important: Please also read the Direct Debit General Terms & Conditions below.

The squad training fees are calculated on an annual basis. All payments are by direct debit and continue throughout the whole year which means payments do not stop during squad breaks (including Easter Break and Christmas Break). The coach may also call for total rest periods from swimming as part of his programme.

Squad fees
Junior 2 day (Entry Level)        $80/mth

Junior 3 day                                $115/mth

Intermediate                               $128/mth

Age Development                      $133/mth

Age Performance                      $138/mth

Tri Squad                                     $103/mth

Family Discount: For families with 3 or more swimmers, a 10% discount is offered on the total monthly training fees.

EXAMPLE (of single swimmer joining):

A single swimmer joining the club in January with the Junior 2 day squad will pay:

Annual $90 (membership) + annual $15.55 (SNZ Non competitive fee) + $75 monthly training fee

All members are required to pay their training fee by direct debit to Massey Park Pools (see Massey Park Pool reception to arrange this) via Debit Success.
