About our club
Parihaka Waka Ama was established in 2007 and is now one of the largest and fastest growing waka ama clubs in Northland and we are respected at Regional, National and International competitions.
Where are we?
The club operates from Kissing Point on Riverside Drive, Whangarei (by the blue boatsheds on the way to Onerahi).
What do we have to offer?
Our main focus is making waka accessible to as many people as possible, so we:
* Keep participation safe and enjoyable;
* Keep our club fees low;
* Make paddling fun.
We provide coaching and support so you can progress to whatever level you want - whether paddling socially or competing at regional, national or even international level. Our training and coaching covers all aspects of paddling, with a strong emphasis on safety.
