A key element of the growth in junior squash momentum over the past 3 years has been the instigation of squash programmes at a large number of schools across the Auckland region.

As lead coach, Paul has organised programmes at a variety of primary, intermediate & secondary schools on the North Shore (see adjacent tabs).Typically a Squash Auckland micro court (see picture) is located in a school hall and class groups participate in between 2 & 4 sessions during school hours developing ball, racquet & court skills under the supervision of 2 coaches and their teacher.

Kiwi Sport funding is often available through either the school or Squash Auckland but should this be unavailable a participation fee of approx. $5/ student will fund two sessions.

On completion of the programme students will be invited to an introductory session at the local squash club(s) and pathways to success in the sport are now clearly defined within a growing sport.
