Phoenix Athletic Club (Inc) is dedicated to providing an exceptional quality of coaching and support to athletes of all ages, with a focus on helping individuals achieve their potential, work as part of a team, and have fun along the way.  We do our utmost to ensure every member of the club enjoys the sport of athletics, learns valuable life skills, and is an active participant in athletics nationwide.  We take a strong partnership approach with parents, encouraging and welcoming their interest and involvement, and strive to provide an environment where each athlete feels welcome, is part of a great training and coaching environment, and is part of a club they can be proud of.

Despite the ongoing challenges of the destruction of QE2 track and its facilities Phoenix Athletic Club has lived up to its namesake and proven resilient. Of our athletes who regularly compete during the summer season and attend regular Saturday competition at Rawiti Domain the majority represent Canterbury at national and inter-provincial meets. This rates as one of the highest percentages of representative success of any sporting club in Christchurch. Congratulations to all our Colgate Games medallists, Canterbury Childrens Athletic Association medallists, Canterbury Athletics Championship medallists, our National Champions at National Secondary Schools and New Zealand Track and Field Championship events, and all those who achieved personal bests and club records last summer.
