Just a quick update on the results of Winter Singles Championship and other activities at the Club. 

Softsource Winter Singles.

We had an awesome "Sunny" day to finish the Softsource Winter Singles. The stand out player of the day was Barry, who came through the day unbeaten, although just fell short of taking out the overall prize.

The overall winner of the Softsource Winter Singles Cup was Bernie Connolly. Enjoy your new set of Henselite Bowls.

Again, many thanks to all the players which made this a great Tournament. Hope to see you all in the "Hong Kong pairs which commences Sunday 2nd September.

Subscriptions are now due

2018/19 subscriptions are now due. Many thanks to the members that have already paid. If you do not wish to renew your membership, we would appreciate an email (admin@ponsonbybowls.nz) confirming that you wish to terminate / not renew your membership.

Hong Kong Pairs. (starts this Sunday 10:45am)

We are kicking off a "Hong Kong" pair competition this Sunday and will be played over every Sunday In September. Entry fee is $5 per Club Member / $10.00 for non-club members. (covers a light lunch)

Registration 10:45 - First game commences at 11:00am. Games will be played over 8 ends. (based on Points / Ends / differential - 3 points for a win 1 point for a draw.)

Interclub Competition

We are keen to enter the InterClub competition this year, hence looking for bowlers to join our InterClub team. It would be great to see a Ponsonby Bowling Club team out there winning again. If you are keen on being part of the interclub team, please contact Bernie Connolly (admin@PonsonbyBowls.nz). Interclub commences the last Saturday in October and runs every Saturday for 6 weeks.

Mates In Bowls (Nov/Dev 2018 Series)

It getting to that time of year again. Registrations for Mates in Bowls (Nov/Dec 2018 Series) is now open. Competition commences 7th November and runs 6 weeks (Wednesday Night's). Grab a couple of friends (3 players to a team) and register your team. If you can help co-ordinate activities on Wednesday nights, then please contact Bernie Connolly (admin@ponsonbybowls.nz).

Winter Hours

Just a reminder the Club will be open Thursday thru - Sunday from 11:00am to 6:00pm. As usual we will stay open past 6:00pm if there are any club members are in the club rooms. Barbara would love your company, so please pop in have and have a chat, bowl, game of pool etc... 

Members Draw

Last week Members Draw was won by Martin Dagg, who collected an $80 bar TAB. Just a reminder the Members Draw happens every Friday Night @ 5:30pm. 

Fish & Chips Fridays.

Don't forget our special of fish & chips special on Friday evenings. Fish & Chips plus either a beer or a wine for $15.00 ($12.00 for club members). Pop in, have some fish and chips, and you might even win the members draw.
