History

The Fencible Foundation was established in 2015 as the Pakuranga Rugby Development Foundation with the aim to support talented young sports people who have grown up in the community, to stay in the community to play their chosen sport once they have finished their secondary education by assisting in monetary grants to further their education. In 2019 the Foundations name was changed to the Fencible Foundation.

The geographical area we consider home is wider South East Auckland regions of Pakuranga, Bucklands Beach, Eastern Beach, Howick, Botany and surrounding rural areas of Whitford, Brookby, Beachlands and Maraetai etc.  Locally based sporting groups have not always been successful in retaining these talented sports people after they have completed their secondary eduction.

The Fencible Foundation is registered by the Charities Commission as a charitable trust meaning there are tax benefits for donors.

Foundation Aims

The aim is to establish a base capital fund that can then generate an annual income stream.  The income generated from the long term capital fund and its investments, will then be distributed by way of educational scholarships to successful applicants.
