Small Blacks Coaching Courses
6th Grade through to 13th grades
ALL coaches / assistant coaches MUST attend one of the following courses:
Registration starts at 8:30am, Coaches must be registered by 9am. Course starts promptly at 9am-11:00am
- Small Blacks RADICOOL (Rippa – see notes below) Saturday April 4 @ Navigation Homes Stadium, Pukekohe
- Small Blacks (Tackle – see notes below) Saturday April 18 @ Navigation Homes Stadium, Pukekohe
- Small Blacks (Combined) Sunday April 19 @ Navigation Homes Stadium, Pukekohe
ALL coaches that are coaching in 2020 MUST attend the whole course. Police Vetting – We have been advised from NZR that all Small Black coaches MUST bring two forms of ID. One must be a drivers licence and the other birth certificate etc..
ID requirements
Coaches are required to bring the following ID along to Small Black courses
- A driver license
- And anyone of the following secondary ID’s (Firearms license, NZ Passport, Birth Certificate)
What to bring:
· Water
· Appropriate clothing for a light training session on the field.
· Jacket if wet (please dress for the weather).
COACH REGISTRATIONS ONLINE:
- ALL coaches have the option to register online (preferable and quicker) OR paper registration forms are available at the workshop. 2019 registered coaches will receive an email invite to register OR if you have a new coach go to your club website www.sporty.co.nz to complete a new registration online form.
THREE EASY STEPS FOR SMALL BLACK COACHES
1. PLEASE COMPLETE the online form and submit.
2. MUST attend one of the Small Blacks Courses.
3. PLEASE bring 2 forms of ID.
Your clubs website has been updated and an email has been sent inviting coaches to re-register.
RADICOOL Rugby
A course designed to suit the needs of ALL coaches, coaching the non-contact forms of rugby including Rippa Rugby and Quick Rip. Coaches in the following grades must attend
- U6 – U7
- Year 5 & 6 boys Quick
- Year 7 & 8 Girls
- Year 7 & 8 Boys
- Year 7 & 8 Mixed
TACKLE Rugby
This course is designed to suit the needs of ALL coaches in the contact grades with a specific focus on player safety and team management. All coaches in the 8th – 13th grades must attend this course.
