Reporoa Pony Club News

Pony Club AGM was held on 11 May 2016 with this we had to say good bye to Tina Vanderlaan our treasurer for the last 6 years she resigned from her position due to Elly leaving to head off to Uni.  We will miss Tina from our meetings, rallies and always providing the chocolate cakes at events.  She told the group “she always enjoyed the little bunch of hard working ladies at pony club”. Thanks for all your help and support with the club.

Thank you to Lynn Ollington for completing the mural on the clubrooms and adding colour to our grounds.

Riding Rallies will be held in the coming months every 2nd Saturday with instructor Holly Morrell.

Any interested riders or members can join in on these and for more information please contact Dianne Wynyard on 07 3338 384 or 027 319 7126 or Helen Bissett 3338 963 or email [email protected] or any member of pony club.

Riders can use the grounds and a ground fee of $10.00 is to be paid per horse.

Recently we held the Secondary Schools Gymkahana where we enjoyed a lovely fine day, and had a great turnout from schools in the Central Plateau area.
A big thank you to our judges Lucy Little, Bev Birkett and Sue Carr who give their time voluntarily. Without the judges we could not host this event.

Thank you to Karen Owen our writer for showjumping and Neil Swindlehurst who designed a technical showjumping course.

In order to make this a profitable day, we rely heavily on our sponsors. Contact Energy Limited, Taupo branch kindly sponsored the ribbons that we award throughout the day. This sponsorship has been ongoing for Reporoa Pony Club and we really appreciate it.  Fibre Fresh for the vouchers given as gifts to the winning turn out team.
Also Pak n Save Taupo for the baskets which we presented to our judges. Again these donations are very much appreciated. Reporoa Foodmarket kindly donated drinks and Green & Co Trucking who provided sausages and produce toward our sausage sizzle. Without all this help, our day could not be the profitable fundraiser that we enjoyed.

We would also like to say a big thank you to Vet Plus who have continued to sponsor our club over the past 3 years with an annual donation. Because we have a small membership, we really do appreciate this financial support.
