While we don't have a membership fee, group members are given the option of joining the Federated Mountain Club of NZ through River City Walking Group, Membership costs $20 and the benefits are below.

Benefits include:

• a print subscription (four issues per year) to Backcountry – the FMC quarterly magazine
• FMC discount card, with many discounts (such as 30% off a DOC Annual Hut pass) available.
• Eligible to apply for the Expedition Scholarship or Youth Award Grant.
• Able to enter FMC’s annual photo competition and be in to win great prizes.
