Badminton is a popular winter sport at Rongotai. The school proudly boasts a tradition of success at the regional and national levels. Students can try out for competitive Badminton teams at the beginning of the school year. Otherwise, students can play at a social level. Teams will consist of 4-6 players and are expected to wear their P.E. uniforms at matches. 

Weekly Competitions 

Badminton teams are entered into weekly CSW competitions. Matches are played at various schools around Central Wellington. Rongotai College's premier Badminton team, the Senior A, will play at Badminton Halls across Greater Wellington. 

Junior Badminton: Thursdays, starting from May 7. 

Senior Badminton: Fridays, starting from May 1.

Cost

Participation in Badminton will incur a 'playing fee' cost of $30 to cover operating expenses. Students who participate in Regional and National Championships will incur additional costs. To set up a payment plan, contact the school office immediately.
