​​​​​​​Rongotai College has a growing cross-country programme that is highly popular amongst the student body. Students can participate in various regional events that serve as qualifiers for competitions at the National Level.

Key Cross-Country events in the 2026 sporting calendar include:

CSW Cross Country Relays: Tuesday 12 May @ Wakefield Park 

CSW Cross Country Championships: Thursday 28 May @ Harcourt Park

NZSS Cross Country Championships: Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 June @ Trentham Memorial Park, Upper Hutt

CSW Cross Country Road Race: Wednesday 29 July

Each Cross-country Competition incurs a 'playing fee' cost to cover expenses. Once they are determined, they will be communicated to parents & caregivers. To set up a payment plan, contact the school office immediately.
