Although its small in stature, Rongotai Hockey has developed a strong sense of identity centered on excellence and brotherhood. Two teams are entered into Wellington's secondary school competitions - the 1st XI and a 'Colts' XI.  

Weekly Competitions 

Teams are entered into local Secondary Schools Competitions. Matches are played at various Hockey Turfs across the Greater Wellington Region. 

Premier Hockey: Fridays, starting from May 1

Colts Hockey: Wednesdays, starting from May 6

Events & Tournaments

The 1st XI compete in various tournaments throughout the hockey season. Further, they compete in numerous traditional sports exchanges.

Palmerston North Boys High School Traditional: Thursday, August 13 

Rankin Cup/India Shield Tournament: Monday, August 31 - Saturday, September 5  @ Palmerston North

Cost

Participation in Hockey incurs a 'playing fee' cost of $170 to cover expenses. Additional fees will be charged to students who participate in events and National Championships.
