Team Trophy – Most Valued Player (MVP)

(RNC trophy + miniature to keep)

Each team has a trophy to give to the player who is the MOST VALUED PLAYER.  The criteria is set by the coach, but could be:

  1. the  most outstanding player in the team who has the best netball skills,

  2. the most positive player,

  3. the most committed player or any of  the following: encourages fair play, contributes to the team, positive attitude, attendance, leadership, etc.

The MVP has a focus on anything that the coach deems as the most important trait for the team that has enabled the team to function as the coach has wanted.  The focus of the team’s  MVP can be incorporated into the citation that is written for the recipient of the award (especially if it is not awarded to the “most skilled/outstanding” netball player).
