WELCOME TO ROSMINI COLLEGE BASKETBALL
Our Philosophy
In the realm of competitive sports, victory often becomes the sole measure of success. Yet, within the heartbeat of our basketball programme beats a different ethos – a commitment not solely to the outcome, but to the relentless pursuit of excellence in execution.
Living by the philosophy, our programme transcends the binary narrative of wins and losses. Instead, our focus remains steadfast on mastering our systems, honing our skills, and executing our game plan with unwavering precision.
Like a well-oiled machine, we understand that success is not a fleeting moment captured on a scoreboard, but rather a continuous journey of discipline, determination, and dedication to the fundamentals.
By embracing this mindset, our basketball programme embodies resilience, unity, and the unwavering pursuit of greatness, regardless of the final score.
This is how we measure success. This is Rosmini Basketball.
Our Programme
Rosmini College is one of New Zealand’s most prestigious basketball schools, with a strong tradition in high school basketball. Over the past decade, our basketball programme has experienced remarkable growth, reaching record participation levels over the past few years.
During the past 8 years, Rosmini College has won two NZ Secondary School National titles (and also won their first National title back in 2011), two runner-up placings, and a credible 3rd place in 2024. Along with this, they have consistently been in the top two at both Regionals and Auckland Premier Championships.
Our highly sought-after expert coaching staff deliver a well-structured and successful programme, guiding players from Intermediates (Year 7-8) through Juniors (Year 9-10) and Seniors (Year 11-13), ultimately leading to the prestigious Premier team.
Basketball at Rosmini College is inclusive, allowing students of all ages, ethnicities, heights, and abilities to participate in the sport.
