RULES OF TOUCH ROTORUA


  1. All players must wear enclosed footwear – Junior & Senior Grades
  2. All players must wear a numbered playing shirt & preferably the same colour
  3. Full uniforms are required by the end of grading. If unable to arrange by this time, the manager of the team will advise the Association and may be given a time extension and can borrow the bibs.  A loss of game points may occur
  4. $50.00 non-refundable deposit required on registration night
  5. Balance of registration fee is due no later than:

    JUNIORS:  by the end of the GAME 2 (2nd week) of competition
    SENIORS:  by the end of GAME 2 (2nd week) of competition (does not include grading games). PLEASE EMAIL US AT [email protected] to discuss options

  6. A maximum of 16 players are allowed per team but only 14 players can play per game
  7. AGE RESTRICTION - due to Health & Safety factors, all players must be 11 years and over to be allowed to play Tuesday Premier Grades and Thursday Social grades
  8. All grades will be 6 aside
  9. If a team defaults 2 weeks in a row, RTA will remove the team from the draw without notification and all monies paid will be non-refundable
  10. Official score cards must be signed at the end of each game by both captains. If signed by both teams and a protest is put in then the protest will become null and void.  If the card is not signed by both teams then the protest will be allowed
  11. Points table - 3 for a win / 2 for a draw / 1 for a loss / 0 for a default
  12. Round Games: If two (2) teams finish on equal points then it will go back on who beat who first. If it is a draw or more than two (2) teams finish on equal points then the outcome will be decided on points deferential, i.e. points (touchdowns) for minus points (touchdowns) against. If a draw in either a semi final or final, then the game will proceed to a shootout/dropoff
  13. Protests - to be put in writing by team management only or referee if possible and a non-refundable payment of $50, then given to the Committee Member by the end of the same playing day, then forwarded to the RTA Committee who will make a decision
  14. Registration Forms - please email the Drawmaster on [email protected] to amend or get a copy of your registration form. No amendments will be allowed one playing week prior to semi-finals
  15. At least one person from every team must report to the Caravan upon arrival to the fields so that we know your team is present
  16. All other rules will follow that of that of Touch NZ


JUNIOR PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATES FOR TERM 4 TEAMS:  to be picked up from Motion Entertainment office on Te Ngae Road.  Please ensure it is the COACH or TEAM MANAGEMENT that picks up and signs for these.


Each fully PAID up teams will also receive a touch ball.  Please see us at the fields to sign for and receive.
