Rowing at Cambridge High School
Welcome to rowing at Cambridge High School (CHS). Rowing is a summer sport with regattas taking place from November to late March/early April.
Rowing requires a significant commitment in time and effort, but is an incredibly rewarding and enjoyable sport. The cost of rowing may seem high compared to some other sports, which is largely due to the the cost of the equipment and technology used. To assit with fees, the club undertake a number of fundraising events throughout the season to help keep costs as low as possible.
Rowing at CHS is managed by a committee, and we are lucky to have a team of dedicated and talented external coaches. CHS Rowing is based at Cambridge Rowing Club on Lake Karapiro, New Zealand’s premier rowing venue and is home to Rowing New Zealand’s High Performance Centre.
Note: we are looking for more people to join the committee for next season. If you're interested, or would like to know more about what is involved, we'd love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact one of the existing members, or email us on: [email protected]
