The team remained unbeaten until the final and faced Murray's Bay, another school with a historic Water Polo Programme. It was a close game until the sharks went up 7-4 with a minute and a half to go - MBIS scored 2 more but the Sharks controlled the ball for the last 25 seconds to take the tournament win.

The tournament consisted of 41 Auckland teams. Sacred also competed with the Dolphins, Snappers and Stingray teams which all performed well in the tournament.
