GENERAL INFORMATION FOR THE WINTER NETBALL SEASON
FOR YEARS 5 - 8
Sacred Heart Cathedral School play netball under Motu Kairangi Netball which is a satellite of Netball Wellington Centre.
All games are played at Evans Bay Intermediate School (EBIS) netball courts with access and car parking from 14 Kemp Street and Tacy Street in Kilbirnie.

SHCS SEASON DATES and TIMELINE
Once all teams are confirmed, uniforms will be sorted and allocated out.
The season will start on
Season Dates:
Term 2 dates
Saturday, 4 May - first game of grading round
Saturday, 2 June - no game (Kings Birthday)
Saturday, 22 June - last game of grading round (unless rain cancellation during term)
Saturday, 29 June - no game (Matariki)
Term 3 dates
Saturday, 27 July - first game of competition round
Saturday, 7 September - last game of season (unless rain cancellation during term)
Saturdays 14 and 21 September - rain contingency days
The season will end on

MK Winter Prizegiving will be held on
SHCS netball prizegiving will be held soon after.
GAME TIME
The exact times will be confirmed in early May; However, Year 7 & 8 teams usually play from 9.00am - 11.00am and Year 5 & 6 teams usually play from 11.00am - 2.00pm. As a general rule, the higher grades play earlier in the day.

COST
$70 will cover netball registration fees, umpire fees and pizza at our school prizegiving. This cost will reduce to $50 if parents or older siblings are able to umpire for your team for no charge.
Once your registration has been received - we will contact you with details about payment, uniform collection and coaching.
UNIFORM
Boys
Can wear their PE uniform
Girls
A netball top and skirt will be provided to each player. This must be returned at the end of the season.
General netball uniform
Other elements of the SHCS uniform are:
- short black shorts, not visible beneath the netball skirt
- plain black polypro top under uniform (optional)
- plain black leggings under uniform (optional)
- suitable sports shoes
Fingernails must be cut short - they will be checked before each game.
No jewellery is allowed (except a Medic Alert bracelet which should be taped).
Please do not get your ears pierced during the season.
Ensure any hair ties are removed from the wrists.
