Around the world Sailability operates on a regional basis. Sailability organisations are “not for profit”, volunteer-based, and through the activity of Sailing enrich the lives of people of all abilities, especially including those with physical and learning disabilities.

Sailability has been operating in New Zealand for many years. Currently there are Sailability organisations in Auckland, Hawkes Bay, Rotorua, Taranaki, Waikato, Wellington, Whangarei and now Tauranga.

After  our inaugural meeting in June  2016, we organised 3 Training & Trial Sail Days.  The response was  extremely positive . The feedback from participants, volunteers, carers and people in the wider community, showed there was a  need for the fantastic opportunities that Sailability Tauranga had to offer, the people  within our community managing life with a disability.

Sailability Tauranga has been operating regular sailing days since February 2017. see our spring sailing schedule on the home page.

We are currently recruiting for more sailors  to join all of our sailing programmes. come cruising, learn to sail or learn to race.
