From time to time a news article about the team that is Team NZ mentions someone who was a Starling sailor. Recently Elise Beavis who amongst other things won the 2011 Alan Sayers trophy (1st girl at the nationals) was featured analysing the 5G data coming off the boat. Elise is a "performance engineer" and was also involved with the TNZ win in Bermuda.

With an honours degree in performance engineering she has gone a long way since 2011 but she is still seen sailing her Waspz at Murrays Bay.
