Difference between Year 7-8 Sport and Year 7-8 Co-curricular Sport.
At Scots College, Year 7 and 8 students participate in Thursday afternoon sports, which are played during school hours as part of the school day. This program provides students with the opportunity to participate in various sports while developing their skills in a school-based setting.
Co-curricular sports, on the other hand, are offered to students in Years 9-13 (some sports are offered to Years 7-8s) and take place outside of school hours, typically on weekends or after school. These sports provide students with the chance to compete in structured competitions at a higher level. ALL of our avaliable sports for each year group are below.
For example while rugby is included in our Year 7/8 in-school sports program, students in these year groups would generally play club rugby outside of school until they reach Year 9, when they can join the College’s co-curricular rugby program.
