Selwyn Netball Centre (SNC) is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Netball
Programmes Assistant to join our team!


Job Title: Netball Programmes Assistant

Location: Selwyn
About the Role: As the Netball Activation Lead, you'll play a key role in the delivery
and organisation of netball programmes at Selwyn Netball Centre. You'll ensure the
smooth running of community netball initiatives and provide essential administrative
support to SNC.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Oversee the organisation and delivery of community netball programmes,including Summer Netball, Walking Netball, school-based initiatives, and otherSNC initiatives.
  •  Provide administrative support and complete tasks to meet SNC's needs.
  • Collaborate with the Centre Coordinator to achieve organisational goals.
  • Creating reports with key details from each programme delivered.

Skills and Qualifications:

  •  Netball knowledge and qualifications are preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage time effectively.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating sport programmes is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently withsupport from a collaborative team.

Work Environment:

  • Based in the Selwyn region, with travel required depending on programmeneeds; access to a reliable car and a clean licence is required.
  • Flexible role requiring a minimum of 10 hours per week, with hours varying depending on the programmes delivered and location.

Key Deliverables:

  • Successful delivery of community netball programmes that align with SNC's values of Community, Enjoyment, Respect, and Integrity.
  • Timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks supporting SNC’s operations.

Coaching Coordinator

Volunteer Opportunity: Coach Development Coordinator
Organisation: Selwyn Netball Centre
Location: Selwyn, New Zealand

Are you passionate about coaching and helping others grow? Selwyn Netball Centre is seeking a Coach Development Coordinator to lead and support our coaching community. This volunteer role is integral to fostering growth, connection, and
excellence within the Selwyn coaching network while upholding our values of Community, Enjoyment, Respect, and Integrity.

​​​​​​​About the Role
As the Coach Development Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinating workshops to support coach development (Foundation, CCA1, CCA2).
  • Build connections with Netball New Zealand, Netball Mainland, and other local organisations. 
  • Maintain coach databases and ensure records of qualifications are up-to-date.
  • Facilitate health and safety practices in all coaching programmes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create opportunities for learning and growth.

This role is your chance to shape the development of coaches across Selwyn Netball Centre and ensure they have the resources, training, and support to succeed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Knowledge of Netball New Zealand coaching pathways, junior policies, and programmes.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A team player who is highly organised, proactive, and demonstrates a growth mindset.
