Once again the SFC sailed for a day's fishing trip with Seabird Charters on "Cappy". The day was semewhat chilly to begin with but was fine and sunny.

Lynley served up our usual hot scones on the trip North.

A Westerly wind was blowing at d'Urville Island so we sailed through French Pass and fished round the Rangitotos.

Steve braved the cool temperature and went diving; He returned with Moki, Butterfish and Paua while we caught Blue Cod, Tarakihi and Sea Perch (interspersed with Spiny Dogfish and Baracouta.).

I nearly forgot to mention Alan's big JD.

The snapper that we had been promoised failed to arrive so we shifted to Stephens Passage where the sea was rougher and a breese was blowing.

Not much luck here also so we shifted back to our original spots to see if the snapper had arrived with the change of tide. No such luck so we fished here before heading home.

On our way home we had a beer tasting. Everyone provided a (small) beer wich was sampled by all (from shot glasses) then scored. The scores were analised and the results were circulated. Here they are:-
