History

Napier Skating Club was formed in 1937 in front of the sound shell for the sport of Roller Skating.

In 1955 the club shifted to its current site.

In 1994 Rollerblader’s invaded the rink, kick-starting the transformation from a skating rink into a modern skate park.

The skating club is a non-profit roller sporting club and is affiliated to Roller Sports NZ.
