Healthy Active Learning Facilitator

We’re looking for a changemaker.
Join Active Southland as a Healthy Active Learning Facilitator, working alongside schools and communities to create more inclusive and accessible physical activity opportunities, especially for tamariki with lived experience of disability.

In this fixed-term role, you’ll help build teacher confidence through workshops and PLD, co-create inclusive resources, and strengthen connections between schools, families and support services. You’ll be part of a passionate team championing equity, wellbeing and sustainable systems change through quality physical activity.

This is your chance to support whānau, teachers and community partners to embed inclusive practices, value Mātauranga Māori, and drive meaningful outcomes across the region.

If you believe all tamariki deserve the opportunity to move, play and thrive - no matter their background or ability - we’d love to hear from you.

Empower change. Support wellbeing. Build strong connections.
We’re seeking a Health Coach to join a unique collaboration between Active Southland, Awarua Whanau Services, and West Invercargill Health.

In this dynamic role, you’ll walk alongside patients supporting both Awarua Whanau Services clients and the West Invercargill Health practice population to help them gain the skills, tools, and confidence to improve their wellbeing and achieve their self-identified goals.

As part of an integrated care team, you’ll motivate and empower people to make sustainable lifestyle changes, while working closely with Health Improvement Practitioners, Community Support Workers, and other partners across the Access and Choice – Tōku Oranga network.

You’ll also play a key role in ensuring seamless care across primary and community services. Flexibility is important - clinic hours may occasionally fall outside the standard 8am–5pm.

If you’re driven by people, purpose and partnership, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.
