1908 - 21 July 1908
 The Stanley Bowling Club (an unclassified society) purchases 1 acre 14 perches of land.

1909 - Extract from Auckland Star, 31 July 1909
  'STANLEY BOWLING CLUB.
 The first annual meeting of the Stanley Bowling Club was held in the Mission Hall,
 Calliope-road, Devonport, on Thursday, There was a fair attendance of members, and
 officers were elected.

 STANLEY BAY GREEN.
 The very wet afternoon on Saturday put an end to the closing ceremonies which had been arranged for the Stanley Bowling Club. A large number of visitors had been invited, and the Dominion President was expected. As a fitting close to a successful season… a social function after play was over for the day had been arranged… but this, too… had to be abandoned.
Some finals have yet to be played, but it is hoped that arrangements will be made with the Devonport green to have these completed.

1933 - Stanley Bowling Club was incorporated on 1 September 1933

The bowling club opens a new pavilion (expanded to include the original building).


1941 - First record of Stanley Bowling winning the Cadness Cup

1996 - North Shore Times , 12 April 1996
  A petanque terrain is to be built on land adjoining the Stanley (Bay) Bowling Club

1997 - North Shore Times , 25 July 1997

  New members join Stanley Bay Bowling Club in an attempt to prevent its closure and sale to a housing developer,          after a vote in May was in favour of the sale.
  Officeholders John Lewis and Malcolm Iversen are optimistic about the club's future.

Stanley Bay Bowling Club has been rescued from closure by local residents who have joined the club,  not       necessarily to play bowls, but to save the club.
 The decision to sell the land was overturned.


2009 - Aucklander North Shore, 3 Sept 2009
  The land under Stanley Bay Bowling Club is zoned residential… a future executive could sell it for housing.
  To protect it, current president, Charles Parley wants to have it zoned recreational.

2012 - 12 June 2012 Constitution updated and the club re-registered with the name
