Is your son interested in playing rugby for St Bede's in 2024?

Rugby is a major sporting code at the College with well over 300 students playing in the following grades: U55kgs, Junior Boys (Year 9 & 10), U75kgs, Senior Boys (Year 11, 12 & 13) and the Crusaders Region 1st XV Championship Grade.

Please apply to join the St Bede's Rugby Noticeboard on Facebook. This closed facebook group is for St Bede’s College Rugby Players and Supporters. This is where you can find all the latest information and updates for every grade and team.

For all prospective U14 or U55kg players in 2024 there will be a Junior Induction event before the end of the year (for those available). Further details will be posted over the next two months on the St Bede's Rugby Noticeboard.

2024 Teenage Player Registrations

ALL new and returning junior players are required to register for the 2024 season using the online registration process. The 2024 online registration form for new junior players is now live. If you played for St Bede's Rugby in 2023, you will receive an invitation to re-register via email. Please keep an eye on your inbox for this.

Pre-season skill sessions, strength & conditioning training and team trials will be held on various days during term one but these are designed not to interfere with summer sports.

WHEN REGISTERING ONLINE PLEASE ENSURE THE FOLLOWING:

• That all of yours and your child's details (especially your contact details) are filled in accurately;
• That you choose the correct grade that you would like your child to play in for the 2024 season. St Bede's Rugby players should choose one of the following:

  Junior Boys (Year 9 & 10 - Metro and North Canterbury)

  Junior Boys U55kg (Year 9 & 10)

  Senior Boys (Year 11, 12 & 13 - Metro and North Canterbury)

  Senior Boys U75kg (Year 11, 12 & 13)

• That you provide an accurate weight for your child/ren to ensure correct grading (view the 2024 Junior Weight Chart here.)
• You will receive an email following submission to confirm you are registered. To complete your registration, payment of your 2024 subs must also be processed, online payment is easy and is available on completion of the online registration form.

All of these details greatly assist us prepare for the 2024 season and provide you with clear communication.

UNIFORM

St Bede's Rugby Shorts ($45) and St Bede's Rugby Socks ($20) can be purchased from the College Shop.

Numbered playing jerseys are provided by the Club (to be returned at the end of the season).

Players will need to purchase their own rugby boots.

Mouthguards are also COMPULSORY for all players across all grades –no exceptions. This applies to practice as well as games.
