• All primary grade teams are scheduled to play on Mondays commencing on Monday 4 May 2020.
• All teams are 6 a side.
• Strictly NO boys are permitted to play in girls teams in any grade. However girls may be registered in a boys team only if required to make up numbers.
• All games are played at the North Harbour Hockey Centre, 159 Bush Road, Albany (NEW VENUE)

Funsticks (Midgets) Hockey

Aimed at 5 to 7 year olds (generally school Year 1 & 2). This is for one hour on Saturday mornings beginning in Term 2 and continuing into Term 3.The programme offers quality coaching aimed specifically at new young hockey players.

For this programme you need to register directly with North Harbour Hockey. Please see the Fun Stricks Poster below for further details on how to register your child for this programme.

Mini Sticks: Year 3/4 Girls and Boys

6 a side 1/4 turf

Mini Sticks is an introductory module that is intended to familiarise players that are new to hockey or those who have completed the Fun Sticks programme.

• Available to Year 3/4 Girls and Year 3/4 Boys only.
• NO Year 5/6 players are permitted to play in this grade.

The season starts on Monday 4 May 2020 and runs until Monday 31 August, with no games in the July school holidays or Queens Birthday weekend.

​​​​​​​Games are played across a ¼ turf for duration of 30 minutes.
Game start times are between 4.00pm and 5.30pm approx.

The cost per player is approximately $100.00, this will be confirmed once team player numbers are finalised.

Kiwi Sticks Development: Year 5/6 Girls and Boys

6 a side 1/4 turf

Kiwi Sticks Development is an introductory module that is intended to familiarise players that are new to hockey.
Available to Year 5/6 Girls and Year 5/6 Boys.     
Games are played across a ¼ turf for duration of 30 minutes.

The season starts on Monday 4 May 2020, and runs until Monday 31 August, with no games in the July school holidays or Queens Birthday weekend.
Game start times are between 5.00pm and 6.30pm approx.

The cost per player is approximately $110.00, this will be confirmed once team numbers are finalised.

Kiwi Sticks Advanced: Experienced Year 5/6 Girls and Boys

6 a side 1/2 turf

Kiwi Sticks Advanced module is for children who are familiar with hockey and have an understanding of the game.
Available to Year 5/6 Girls and Year 5/6 Boys.
Games are played across a ½ turf for duration of 30 minutes.
Goal circles are used and penalty corners taken.
Game start times are between 5.00pm and 7.30pm approx.

The cost per player is approximately $120.00 , this will be confirmed once team numbers are finalsed.

Please note:It is recommended that teams that comprise mostly of new or inexperienced players should be entered into the Kiwi Sticks Development grade.
