Welcome to St Patrick's College Sport

Sport has always been an integral part of an education at St Patrick's College. While we maintain a strong focus on the traditional sports of rugby, cricket and athletics, in recent years interests have broadened and other sports such as badminton, basketball, football, futsal, hockey, swimming, volleyball and water polo have also become extremely popular.

Still other activities attract smaller numbers but no less enthusiastic participants including golf, lawn bowls, mountain-biking, squash, sailing and swimming.

Recently students from the College have represented New Zealand age-group sides or secondary school selections in athletics, basketball, rugby, soccer, water polo, softball and cricket.

Many staff give freely of their time to help with running the sporting programme within the College. However, we still rely heavily on the goodwill of parents to contribute towards keeping our teams and codes active - from coaches and managers to transport and scoring.

If any parents are willing to assist with managing or coaching a team, or would like to become involved with sport at St Pat's, please feel free to contact:
