Summer Football - Years 3 - 6
7 a-side league
Summer football will be offered through Birkenhead United Football Club, and games will be played at their grounds at Shepherds Park, Beach Haven.
- Games will commence on Wednesday 30 October 2024, for 7 weeks until Wednesday 11 December 2024.
- Games are held on Wednesday afternoons between 4.30pm to 6.30pm and are played for a half hour duration (12 minutes each way with a quick turnaround).
- Games are 7 a side, including a goalie with a maximum of 10 players per team (3 rolling subs)
- Games will be held subject to weather and ground conditions at Shepherds Park football fields off the end of Melba Street, Beachhaven.
- Cancellations will be notified to the schools no later than 2.30pm on the day.
- Grade 3 = year 3 (Mixed)
Grade 4 = Year 4 (Mixed)
Grade 5 = Year 5 (Mixed)
Grade 6 = Year 6 (Mixed)
These can be combined if there are not enough children in a particular age group.
- Players will need to wear their school PE shirt and navy shorts
- Sports shoes and shin pads are COMPULSORY (no bare feet or sandals allowed). ONLY rubber soled footwear is allowed on the fields. NO football boots will be permitted.
- Each team will require a volunteer parent coach and manager
