TTNZ is inviting expressions of interest from ITTF accredited coaches who are registered with TTNZ and available and willing to coach New Zealand table tennis players if and when they qualify for and are selected to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

While the New Zealand male and female teams did not secure qualification at the recent event in Townsville, Australia, there remains an opportunity for singles players to qualify through the ITTF Oceania Olympic Individuals Qualifier event in May 2024. Should any New Zealand players qualify for this event and subsequently be selected by the NZOC selection panel, TTNZ/NZOC will seek to appoint coaches to accompany the players.

If you are interested in becoming a coach for this event, you must submit your name to the NZOC Long List. This list comprises players and support staff, including coaches. If you wish to be considered, please inform Kaushik Patel, TTNZ Development Manager, no later than 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023, via email ([email protected]), Kaushik will send your details to NZOC. To be eligible for the long list, please note the following criteria:

- You have been notified that you are on the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Long List as a support staff member, and you have provided your consent to the National Federation to share your details with the NZOC for inclusion on the Long List. This will enable the NZOC to contact you for administrative and other purposes related to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

- You are a member of the National Federation or one of its affiliated organizations.

- You have met any eligibility requirements of the International Federation and International Olympic Committee for participation in the Games.

- To the National Federation's knowledge, you are not currently under investigation, disqualification, or suspension under the rules or regulations of the National Federation, International Federation, International Olympic Committee, Drug Free Sport New Zealand, or the World Anti-Doping Agency.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me.
