After a review of the 2025 season the Board are pleased to confirm that Daniel Semp has been reappointed to the position of head coach of the  men’s first team.

In confirming Daniel’s appointment the Board wanted to ensure that Daniel had as much time as possible to prepare his squad for the 2026 season.

Club President Glyn Taylor said that “the Board was committed to supporting Daniel through another season. We saw glimpses of what the team is capable of especially at the business end of the season and we now have to set about building a platform that will take the club to the next level.”

Daniel, who is also the club’s Director of Football added “I’m really pleased to be reappointed as Takapuna FC First Team coach for 2026. This year we made real progress and finished strongly with three consecutive wins, including one against promoted side Melville United, which shows we can compete with those teams at the top. The team culture has been outstanding, the group’s commitment, energy, and togetherness have been top class, and we’ll be looking to build on that and keep raising standards again next year.”
