Welcome to Takapuna Bowling Club - Bowls New Zealand Club of the Year,  Bowls North Harbour Club of the Year and Harbour Sport Club of the Year 2021!  

We are proud with the way we continue to engage with the community by encouraging people to get active and play our sport.  We are also delighted for our New Zealand representative, Selina Smith, and the competitive arm of the club, but we are equally proud of the way we deliver programmes for our social and non-competitive bowlers. 

We have a vibrant and progressive bowling club situated in the heart of the Takapuna CBD.  We have two greens - one 'natural' and one 'synthetic carpet' (for all year round play), and convenient off street parking.

We have approximately 190 men and women members and we also host many corporate visitors and casual bowlers throughout the year.

This really does sum up the Takapuna experience and approach to bowls. If it's serious competitive bowls you want then we can certainly deliver. If it's the more relaxing fun bowls and the social side you're after, you'll also find that in abundance at Takapuna. And, if you just want to play casually, or occasionally with friends, that's no problem either.

We cater for corporate groups (fun events and / or team building) and we have a thriving business house social league - which we call 'Krak A Jack' - played over 12 weeks in the November to March period on Wednesday evenings after work.
