TGS 14 - Massey High School 12 - Win

A gritty two-point win over Massey High School capped a much-improved week for the 1st XV, with the forwards laying the platform and the outside backs providing the cutting edge.

Connor Brady was at his physical best again on the weekend, and Will Taylor showed his growing maturity in the midfield with some great distribution and defence. Max Cameron was once again a standout with tireless ball carries and his work in defence.

Reuben Faletutulu was a huge presence with ball in hand, constantly making the gain line and getting TGS on the front foot. Max Murray used his boot well to find space and territory, and Archie Sommerville Ryan was industrious, throwing himself around as per usual.

Luther Watkins was the hidden workhorse - accurate with his lineouts, mopping up loose ball and securing rucks with his constant cleanouts.
