Membership Terms and Conditions

  • I accept that the BMX club is run by volunteers, who are busy people just like myself.  Running a BMX club night or event requires a lot of volunteers.  I may from time to time be asked to help out by way of working bees, club night assistance, BBQ, track marshalling, raffles, fundraising etc.  I will endeavour to help out wherever possible for the good of the club and the riders.  It is a condition of membership that each family must contribute something back to the club in the way of volunteer assistance.
  • I apply to BMX New Zealand Inc. (BMX NZ) for a license for either myself, or a person aged less than 16 years for whom I am a parent or guardian.
  • I understand that payment of fees does not constitute membership of the Manukau Taniwha BMX Club. The club executive committee will vote on accepting my application. If it is rejected fees will be refunded in full.
  • I understand that the BMXNZ license covers the calendar year.
  • I understand that my license application cannot be submitted to BMX NZ until I have paid the fees and uploaded proof of age (either a birth certificate or passport)
  • I agree (either for myself or on behalf of the person for whom I am a parent or guardian) to comply with the BMXNZ rules* with respect to all BMX activities. I understand that I am responsible for my own actions while participating in BMX activities.
  • I agree to abide by the BMXNZ Code of Conduct** for both rider and parent (if applicable).
  • I agree that neither Manukau Taniwha BMX Club nor BMXNZ accepts any responsibility for damage or injury caused to any person or property while participating in any activity within the confines of the BMX track.
  • I agree to abide by any instructions given by the Manukau Taniwha BMX Committee or other officials with regard to the running of an event at the track, especially concerning the safety of riders and officials.
