Taradale Intermediate is a specialist school for the emerging adolescent, the 11 - 13 year olds of this world. This fact makes our school a special place as our programes, our activities and events are geared specifically for this age group.

To quote Professor James Beane   "... adolescence is an absolutely critical stage of development. It is a time of increased social awareness, dramatic physical change, a deepening sense of values, growing independence, and increasingly complex cognitive capacity". Our website will give you an informative insight into our world - students, parents and staff.

Our school learner dispositions are:

Character

Our PB4L values are centred around Manaakitanga

Respect for Self

We welcome all visitors to our school - parents, relatives, locals and visitors to Te Matau ā Maui Hawke's Bay. Please feel free to contact us with any queries or requests for further information.

With TIS being a busy place with lots on offer, please check in with your child to ensure that you are receiving all the information that you need. We know you will discover something new at Taradale Intermediate.
