Winner Zac Andrews

A member of the U15 team•Joined academy late in 2016 and didn't get a chance to play for the team until the second round of Central Region.  Pre the tournament thought he was training hard but realised he wasn't.•From CR until the National Teams Competition he really upped his input, listening intently and working very hard.•Playing No.1 in doubles and mixed was a very safe and reliable player supporting either Zara or Leon who were the senior more experienced players. •A total improvement in his movement, shot selection and range of shots.•Has a natural awareness of how to gain advantage of an opponent that he has developed more and more as his playing ability has improved.•The hard work meant he finished the season at the Aims games where he won 6 of his 8 singles and getting through to the semi finals of the boys singles.

Winner Zara Van Koppen 

A member of the Under 15 team also played Under 17 and Div.•As the senior member and Captain Zara made sure the players were warmed and stretched before the tie. •She encouraged the new players offering them advice and encouragement•Outside teams games she travelled to Wellington, Bay of Plenty and Manawatu to play in age group tournaments.•Zara is always trying to improve her game and puts in total effort to do so.•At Central Region and Nationals won most of her games.

Was prepared run Central Club so that it continued to provide an opportunity for New Plymouth based players.•Basically brought it back from extinction.•The support from players has confirmed that this was a very good decision. •With Anne-Marie promoted a interclub exchange with Inglewood in a best of 3 games (Inglewood won) .
