RECOGNISED RECIPIENTS

The following page link recognises those recipients who have received a top 10 Pin, Senior Pin, Red or Gold Coat;

Recognised Recipients below

Top 10 Pin

- Top Ten badges have long been part of NZSSRA's system of awards and trophies. They are awarded to the members of crews that place in the top ten in a U18 event (excluding N18, and provided 11+ crews competed in the event).  U18 is the highest level of competition for students within schools. The badges recognise achievement at that level.  Competitors receive a Top Ten badge each year they qualify (not one per event).

Senior Pin

- Senior Pins were introduced when NZRA's Classification According to Ability was revitalised for 2018. They are awarded to the members of gold medal winning NZ crews in Senior events at Nationals.  Senior is the highest level achievable for rowers within clubs (to reach Premier they must be selected for Rowing Performance Centres). The pins recognise achievement at that level.  Competitors receive their Senior Pin once; the first time they qualify - like with Redcoats.

Red Coat

-  Redcoats, which are actually maroon, are awarded to the members of gold medal winning NZ crews in Premier events at Nationals.  Premier is the highest ability level in NZ. The Redcoats recognise achievement at that level.  Competitors receive their Redcoat once; the first time they qualify.

Gold Coat

- Goldcoats are awarded to the members of gold medal winning NZ crews in Lightweight Premier events at Nationals.  Premier is the highest ability level. The Goldcoats recognise achievement by Lightweights at that level.  Competitors receive their Goldcoat once; the first time they qualify.
