Basketball is a Winter Sport played in Term: 2 and 3 on Fridays.

Basketball is organised by School Sport Canterbury with games against other Christchurch secondary schools. These are held on Friday Afternoons/ Evenings at school gyms around Christchurch.

TIME:

Games times between 4pm-8pm. Junior teams usually 4pm or 5pm

EQUIPMENT:

Students will wear a Te Aratai College PE/ Sport top to compete in and need to wear the PE shorts or their own plain black shorts.

Girls and Boys A teams will be given Singlets/ Shorts for the weekly competition, this is to be returned after the season.

A mouthguard is also required for every game.

NO MOUTHGUARD = NO PLAY

TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS:

School will provide transport by either car or van to and from the venues.
