With the unfortunate discontinuation of the Inter-Provincial Series (IPS) tournament last year, a new alternative was needed. The recent update to sport participation from both Sport New Zealand and Touch New Zealand proved difficult for the development of a new competition.
The involvement and development of our tamariki is a key factor for the growth of our sport and so, the Tamariki Touch Classic (TTC) was born.
The Tamariki Touch Classic is a festival event that celebrates tamariki from the Northern regions of the North Island. Established in 2020, the TTC committee is filled with a few dedicated and highly experienced members in the wider touch community. TTC aims to celebrate the participation of referees, coaches, managers and children in U10's, U12's and U14's grades and hopes to develop their skills in a safe and friendly environment.
