On Saturday, it was a fast and furious game of Rippa Rugby in beautiful conditions, as the U15 Gold team faced off against an ever-improving Massey Blue side.

TGS came out firing, immediately putting Massey on the back foot with outstanding combination play and some brilliant tries. Their crisp passing and support play were a highlight in the early stages.

Massey responded by kicking more strategically, disrupting TGS’s structure and stretching the game by adding width to their attack. However, the Gold team adapted quickly and effectively. Recognising the shift, they began attacking through the middle with sharp, short offloads, pulling in defenders and creating overlaps out wide tactics that ultimately secured them the win.

Player of the Day was Cate Steckler, who delivered a complete performance on both sides of the ball. Her attacking flair, defensive reliability, and excellent game awareness stood out in a highly competitive match.
