Takapuna Grammar School has a 33 metre swimming pool on our grounds. The pool underwent major refurbishment in 2024/25 and has since reopened as the Sir Stephen Tindall Pool. Heated, salt water treated and now at a depth of 1.8-2.0m, we can offer swimming year round to students.
We hold our Swimming Sports day in Term 1.
Students are selected from the Swimming Sports to represent our school at the North Harbour Secondary Schools swimming Zone day which takes place in May. The Auckland Champion of Champions meet is held in June concurrently with the Auckland Individual Swimming Championships.
