TGS Tennis is a fast-growing sport. We are lucky to have four astro courts in very good condition which allows TGS to host many local North Shore schools.
The North Harbour competitions take place in Term 1 and in Term 4 for junior and senior students. This sport is offered to both boys and girls. Games are on Monday's afterschool from 4-6pm either at Forrest Hill or local North Harbour schools.
The school does not provide coaching, however we do have a strong working relationship with local club Belmont Racquets Racquets Club (in Bayswater) with Club Pro Coach Mark Neilson (former NZ #1 Davies Cup player) of SMASH Tennis available to organise to run team or 1 on 1 training sessions.
We encourage our students to join any local club to develop their tennis skills and game understanding.
Tennis is a fantastic summer sport and can be enjoyed by all students at all levels. We would love more students to play this sport so please contact TIC Melita Tu'isila on m.tuisila@tgs.school.nz and let us know if you are interested.
