As previously mentioned we are dedicated to empowering rangatahi, their whānau and the wider community to become the catalyst for change.   Underpinned by our Values and guided by Tikanga; Time 2 Train have a Te Ao Māori approach to Service Development and Delivery.  Our Vision “Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora” recognises that Empowerment is Wellbeing. Our Mission “Taiao Ora, Tangata Ora” is enhancing whānau wellbeing through positive connections with nature, and, Our Values “Whanaungatanga, Mātauranga, Kaitiakitanga, Toioranga, and Mana Motuhake” drives Time 2 Train to deliver Meaningful Engagement, Quality Learning Opportunities, Nurturing Natural Relationships, Supporting Healthy Lifestyles and Fostering Leaderships.  Unexpectedly, Time 2 Train did not anticipate the popularity of all of our activations and have through demand developed new and further focused efficient, effective, measurable and sustainable programmes.

One of these programmes is the delivery of Te Reo courses targeted at corporate level. Time 2 Train understand that the most significant contributor to language death is societal attitudes and values. When the language is not viewed as relevant or valued by society it can make revitalisation efforts onerous and overwhelming. In the field of corporate English, much reflection has been done on the impact of globalisation on the workforce, and how it has consequently increased the pressure on workers to improve their Māori language skills. In order to respond to the interest and demand of corporate entities, Time 2 Train has previously run successful Te Reo courses. Our courses take into consideration the goals of the Government Māori language strategy of: Strengthening language skills, Strengthening language use, Strengthening education opportunities, Strengthening community leadership and Strengthening recognition of the Maori language. Time 2 Train Te Reo course concepts are intertwined with tikanga Māori enabling access to Te Ao Māori and Māori world view.
