T2T Mātātoa provide training camps or holiday kaupapa which allow tamariki, rangatahi and whānau to grow holistically and test their whakapapa with opportunities to connect directly to the taiao. It’s not new to our culture, our tupuna were doing these things on a daily, from arriving here by waka, sailing and navigating their way from Hawaiki, hiking/walking to and from all different parts of Aotearoa, crossing rivers and seas, living off the land and so on.

Participants interact and explore our natural environment and learn through a kaupapa Māori lens.

Combined with these known traditional practices of our tūpuna, our tamariki and rangatahi in turn will have a generational effect on their whānau, hapu, and iwi.

It is our Whakapapa!
